Royal National Park

Royal National Park, south of the Sydney metropolitan area is the second oldest national park in the world (after the Yellowstone). While it is famous for its spectacular coastline, the park’s 151 square kilometres protect a wide variety of terrains and habitats including coastal heathland, littoral rainforest, steep valley sides and valley floors, riparian forest, mangroves and salt marsh as well as tidal rock pools. More than 30 walking trails run through the various habitats in Royal National Park. Here are some of the best of them.
