The property was stunning with abundant foliage and opportunities to watch the ocean and the birds. The breakfasts were always prepared on time and were filling to start the day. We stayed in cabin #5 at the top of the hill with the private pool and it was PHENOMENAL. The pool was cool enough to feel perfectly refreshing and I can’t even describe the view of the ocean it overlooked. The cabin felt extremely private as well. And a quick 5 minute walk to the beach.

Nestled at the entrance to Dreke Bay, the Sunset Lodge is a hidden gem worth discovering. Perched atop a climb up by stairs, the effort was truly rewarded. The distinctive bungalow, with its walls made of screens, provided a refreshing sea breeze and stunning views from the terrace. Despite the absence of air conditioning, the comfort was not compromised thanks to the two fans provided, allowing us to enjoy the night sounds and drift into a deep sleep. Jusou', the owner, proved to be a fantastic host, offering valuable advice and support throughout our stay, even assisting us with our luggage. Overall, our experience at the Sunset Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. We highly recommend this tranquil retreat for those seeking a unique and cozy stay with breathtaking views and warm hospitality. It's a place we would gladly return to."

We stayed in the private casa with its own little swimming pool. The kitchen was great for making our own dinners and the pool and AC were greatly appreciated given the heat and humidity. The staff was very attentive and friendly, they went out of their way to help us get fresh fish. We could see so much wildlife from our windows including monkeys, toucans, macaws and hummingbirds. One evening a toad visited us too!

There is a spectacular view of the bay but no direct sunset view from room #5. We loved the privacy, peacefulness, and comfortable bed. We enjoyed the private pool and air conditioning, which were unique to #5. Our rate included taxi service from the ferry to the hotel. We appreciated the complimentary beer, snacks, and the use of two beach towels. Although the lodge did not have a restaurant, they offered a breakfast, which they provided at 5 a.m. before an all-day tour. Tortuga was a fantastic restaurant at the bottom of the hill, and several were within a 10-minute walk.

The views from the lodge were amazing! The garden around it was lush and beautiful. The host and other staff were super helpful. They booked a snorkeling tour and transportation for us. There was the sweetest cat in the property. He was so cuddly and cute.

The locatio is supreme. We stayed at room no. 5, so we also had a little plunge pool on the deck looking over the drake bay and cool ourselves. A lot of animals around: scarlet macaws, toucans, colibbries and others. Breakfast is good servers in a beautiful balcony with a view. In the room a kitchenette with micro and fridge
